Tutorials 11-12 Oct. / PARIS > Conference 13-18 Oct. / ANTIBES, FRANCE

Established since 1973 with the very first conference in June at the IBM Research Laboratories, Yorktown Heights, New York, the IBA (Ion Beam Analysis) conference deals with the Science, development, techniques and applications of energetic ion beams for analysis. The most recent meetings have been held in Cambridge (United Kingdom, 2009), Itapema (Brazil, 2011), Seattle (USA, 2013), Opatija (Croatia, 2015) and Shanghai (China, 2017). The objective of the 24th International Conference on Ion Beam Analysis (IBA-24) is to assess the state of the art and the latest developments in IBA techniques and applications.

We are pleased to announce that the 24th International Conference on Ion Beam Analysis will be organized at the Palais des Congrès of Antibes, France. Antibes is a well-renowned city located on the French Riviera. The IBA-24 conference will start with the welcome cocktail on Sunday 13th and will end on Friday October 18th.

The five-day conference program will comprise invited lectures as well as oral and poster presentations, and no parallel sessions. Proceedings are planned as a special issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods section B, in the tradition of the conference. One-day tutorials, organized for students and young researchers registered for the conference, will take place before the IBA-24 conference on Saturday October 12th at the C2RMF lab located at the Louvre Palace in Paris.

IBA-24 is organized by French Vacuum Society (Société Française du Vide) and its Ion Beam Analysis Francophone (IBAF) Division, involving 12 laboratories specialized in Ion Beam Analysis from France and Belgium, with the cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
